We’ve put together a list of our 5 absolute favourite island tours that are a must-do when visiting Phuket. You no longer have to search through hundreds of magazines to find the right place for you. We’ve cut the faff and spilt the beans below.

Koh Lipe
Said to be the ‘Maldives of Phuket’. Think soft white sand, crystal blue waters and not a soul in sight. This untouched island is about 6 hours from Phuket, but it’s well worth the journey. The perfect place for a romantic getaway. If you’re into snorkelling or diving, the waters are filled with stunning corals that will take your breath away.

Racha Island
If you’re looking for something a little more closer to home, Racha island is only a 45 minute speed boat ride away from Phuket. You could even take a long tail boat for a more authentic experience. Best known for its snorkelling and diving, the waters here are some of the clearest!

Phi Phi island
Probably one of the most popular island tours in Phuket. The famous Maya Bay is exactly where the film ‘The Beach’ was shot… no wonder why it’s now such a hit with the tourists. Every Phuket visitor needs that token shot on Phi Phi island, however beware of the crowds and party scene… this place attracts all the young party goers.

Koh Lanta
Just an hour away from Phi Phi island, Koh Lanta is a lot more peaceful and untouched. The further down south you go on the island, the more beautiful it gets. South Koh Lanta has the most stunning beaches and far fewer rocky beaches compared to the north of the island. There are some of the most stunning 5* resorts and villas here too if you’re looking for something extra special.

Koh Yao Yai and Koh Yao Noi
Situated in Phang Nga Bay, the Koh Yao island are a dream. It’s all about a laid back and slow pace of life here. There is no hustle and bustle, even ATM machines and restaurants can be hard to find. These two islands are the perfect place for some downtime, relaxation and an ultimate beach escape.
